I am Dr. Musaab Abdulsalam Taha, an Assistant Professor with a Ph.D. degree in agricultural economic policies, teaching in the Department of Accounting, College of Administration and Economics, Al-Hadba University, Mosul, Iraq.

I began my academic path with a B.Sc. in Economics from Mosul University (1986), followed by an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economic Policies from the same institution in 1992. I continued my academic pursuits and earned a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economic Policies from Mosul University in 1997.

I joined Al-Hadba University on December 1, 2011, and currently serve as the Vice President for Administrative Affairs at Al-Hadba University.


Teaching Folio

As an experienced academic in the fields of economics and accounting, I have had the privilege of teaching a range of foundational and advanced courses that are integral to the training of future economists and accountants. My teaching philosophy centers on bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing a deep understanding of the economic principles that underpin accounting and financial practices.

Courses I currently teach include:

  • Public Finance
    This course is taught in the Department of Accounting, College of Administration and Economics (DACC). It introduces students to the principles of public finance, government expenditure, taxation, and fiscal policy. Students learn about the economic implications of government financial decisions and their impact on society.

My research interests lie at the intersection of economics, agricultural economics, economic policies, and business administration. Over the years, I have focused on a diverse range of topics that reflect my passion for developing effective, sustainable, and targeted economic policies and practices.

    My work in economic policies examines the design, implementation, and impact of various policy instruments on economic growth, stability, and welfare. I am particularly interested in policies that promote sustainable development and address economic disparities.

  • Agricultural Economics
    A significant portion of my research focuses on agricultural economic issues, including agricultural policy analysis, food security, rural development, and the economics of agricultural production and marketing. My work aims to contribute to the development of efficient and equitable agricultural systems.

  • Administration and Business Administration
    I research organizational structures, management practices, and business strategies that enhance institutional performance and adapt to changing economic environments.

  • E-Governance
    In response to the growing importance of digital technologies in governance, I investigate the implementation and impact of e-governance initiatives on administrative efficiency, transparency, and public service delivery.
